This was the first MAC lip product I bought and now I'm scared to go and buy another! The color is REALLY great, I definitely love it! But the texture on my lips was gross. It felt really sticky. I'll wear it until I run out, but for $14, I don't think I'll buy a lustreglass again. :(
I love my NYX Megashines, as far as lipglosses go, they're are in my top three favorites sitting at number 2. The megashines are not sticky in any way, very lipbalmy feeling, don't create that white ring on your mouth, don't dry out your lips and althought they don't last some insane amount of time, c'mon it's lipgloss. I expect to be reapplying it a couple of times a day. And even though they shine, they're not insanely shiny so you don't look like you're drooling lol. They're very cheap (5.00USD) and you can find them even cheaper elsewhere. My only complaint was the wierd slanted sharp wand. It works really good but it's just weird, like it's not full enough to apply a good amount all around. It has a minty slightly sweet scent but not like peppermint. You can make these sheer or very thick and rich of color after building it up. Now Orchid is very scary looking in the container. It looks dark purple but when applied lightly, it creates a light plum lip color. You can even mix this with some lip balm to soften it even more and it does create a stain (at least this color does.) Personally, although I can't wear this everyday, I do love it.
Pros:Everything is good, price, consistency Cons:None
I normally love all Philosophy products and was disappointed in this lip gloss. It comes in a great little tube, the taste is super yummy and you get super shiny lips with this. It looks very sparkly in the tube but it doesn't look like you have lips full of glitter.
Why I don't like this product is that everytime I open the cap, the gloss is all over the the place and it's messy.
Pros:nice shine, great flavor Cons:goopy mess when I open the cap
This color is the exact same shade of Oh Baby to me. The glitter is replaced with shimmer and it is GREAT! This is a plushglass so there is a little tingle. I have never had a plushglass, and when I put it on I was not aware of the effects. The color can be described as bronze with gold pearl
Oh Baby was my first MAC product. One of my Sorority Sisters turned me on to it 10 years ago. Eyiiip! My issues with Oh Baby is the glitter is a lil too chunky which is fine but when the lip gloss is all faded away you can still see some glitter and it just looks so juvenile. But this is still a staple of mine I just try not to ever let it fade away. I try to have a backup at all times.
Pros:Great neutral color, very flattering shade no matter what colors you wear. Cons:Chunky glitter
I recently bought this & it came in their Warm By The Fire collection I believe. It tastes amazing, like actual s'mores! It doesnt have a really really sticky texture either. I cant get enough of Philosophy's lip glosses! They're cute and taste/smell really good.
This is the first "adult" lip gloss I've owned. I've avoided them. But in a desperate need for a lip color, I found this and really like it. The color suits me very well. The only caveat is that it does wear off fairly quickly. So I do reapply a couple of times during the day. The taste isn't horrible. It is sticky, but hey, its lip gloss right! I will buy this again.
When i'm in the mood to look like a barbie doll, this is the lip gloss. I feel like the only black barbie. Dark eye liner and pink lips. this makes my lip peel at the end of the day but it's a once in a blue thing. so
Pros:cute girl-barbie doll look. Color is visible Cons:peelling lip at the end of the day on occassion
Okay, so before this I had only tried the Mark's Glow lip gloss, i'm not sure the name of it, and was basically a clear gloss that turned your lips "pink" when applied. Well, this did the exact same thing for more money :(. It doesn't have a heavy scent which is nice but even though it did give me a pink to my lips, it gave me more of a reddish burning looking pink than what i had in mind. It just made my lips look sore to touch. I hated the one by mark and i definitely hate this. It's not sticky in any way and last a good while but it was not the look i was wanting. Oh, and it cost 22 dollars at Smashbox but I'm sure you can find it cheaper elsewhere.
Pros:It does give you a pink lip Cons:but it's more of a reddish bitten pink. plus its too expensive and can buy it cheaper buy buying Mark's dupe.
Very nice nude brown colour with a pretty sparkle. Wasn't too sticky and didn't have a sickly sweet smell like lots of lipglosses. I felt like it really moisturised my lips and it looked lovely! I got this gloss as a free gift from No7 but when I run out I'll definatley buy again!
Pros:Colour, sparkle, no scent, non sticky, shiny. Cons:None!
Underage is a very light milky pink. It's perfect for toning down my natural lip color. It's gorgeous with smoky eyes. If applied heavily it may end up looking too milky though. It's the perfect baby pink in my eyes, and I will continue repurchasing this.
Pros:Sexy baby pink perfect for smoky eyes Cons:Goopy/milky looking if overapplied
Viva Glam V is a little darker than a MLBB color, but it is lovely. It's a very pretty pinky brown that looks good with practically any kind of eye makeup. It is great pigment-wise so the color you see in the tube is what you'll get when you put it on. I'd definitely repurchase.
Poco Pink looked lovely when I saw it in the tube, and I don't really dislike it...it's just far from being a favorite. While it looks pinky gold, I only saw gold when I put it on. It was soft enough that it still looked alright, but I was hoping for more pink to show up. The laquers don't last as long as the lipglasses on me. I wouldn't repurchase this, but I'll continue using this because I like using it over my pink lipsticks to warm up the color.
Pros:A lot of product for about 3 dollars more than lipglasses Cons:More gold than pinky gold on me...staying power not as good as w/ lipglass
Nymphette is a beautiful sheer pink w/ gold shimmer. It is a gorgeous MLBB shade, It seems to look great no matter what colors I use for the rest of my makeup.
Oh Baby is a shimmery caramely-bronze color. I'm quite fond of the color, but I only use it when I am at my most tan during the summer. It looks too 90's brown on me during the winter when I'm much paler. I gave it a 4 because as I said it is gorgeous with a tan, but I'm not sure if I'd repurchase because it will definitely last me a while.
Pros:Beautiful during the summer...long lasting like other MAC lipglasses Cons:Looks dated when I'm not very tan
I wasn't crazy about this when I saw it in the tube, but I now use this all the time. It looks like a pale lavender/pink with gold iridescence. It comes in handy when I want to soften the color of my lipstick. I also use it on it's own to tone down my pigmented lips and it does a beautiful job. I gave it a 4 just because I don't find it absolutely amazing or something I couldn't do without, but it is lovely nonetheless.
Pros:Tones down pigmented lips without making you look corpse-like Cons:No complaints from me!
